So I thought I would begin my blog with a little introduction to Me. Who I am, where I have come from and what I have done so far.
Born in Fleet, Hampshire, 1979, I grew up in a bungalow in the countryside. When I was 8 years old my parents moved to Wales, to the little village of Lower Cwmtwrch. I still live here, just a short walk from my parents home.
I left school in 1996 with a handful of GCSE’s and had various jobs in shops and factories. In 1999 I got a job at the DVLA where I worked for 12 years. After leaving the DVLA I decided to finally get a degree. I first did a HND in Sport Science at Swansea University and then went on to University of South Wales and graduated with a 2:1 in Sport Psychology.
After leaving University in 2017, I set up my own business, Rainbow Cottage Dog Services. Looking after other peoples dogs when they are on holiday or at work. I absolutely love my job and what I do. In April 2021 I was super lucky, with the help of my dad, to purchase an 8 acre small holding, which is now where I take all the dogs for safe, off-lead exercise, as all the fields are enclosed and secure. We named the fields Motsi’s Meadow, after our springer spaniel Motsi who we adopted in December 2019.
This year, May 25th 2022, I finally married the most amazing woman, Leanne, after a 2 year wait because of covid restrictions. We’ve been together 7 years and I couldn’t be happier. The day after we returned from our honeymoon we adopted our second dog, Honey, a cocker spaniel.
That basically sums up my life, in brief, with a ton of adventures and amazing experiences on top. I will write about some aspects in more detail throughout my blog. If there is anything about me you want to know more, then feel free to comment and I may use that as a future blog post.
I am just an ordinary woman living an ordinary life in an ordinary world, with an ambition to be the best that I can be and to always strive to do more. Follow my blog as I write about the highlights of my life and my bucket list of 40 things to do in my 40’s.
